What to Expect at Your Tattoo Removal Appointment
This way it doesn’t hurt. A topical anesthetic is applied for 20-30 minutes on the tattooed area to ensure you feel as little discomfort as possible.
Step 2: CONSULTATION
How long ago did you get the tattoo? Have you tried getting a tattoo cover up on top of the existing tattoo? Depending on your answers, the appropriate product and needle is chosen depending on your skin type and the size, placement, color, and pigment type of the tattoo.
Step 3: PROCEDURE
Once the tattooed area is numb, the removal procedure begins. You’ll be able to see the actual ink being drawn out during the process.
Step 4: HEALING
The treated area will go through a healing process and continue extracting ink simultaneously for the next several weeks. More pigment is drawn to the surface creating scabs that will peel off over time. You’ll experience scabbing once or twice through the next 4-6 weeks. Depending on your desired results you may need additional removal sessions.
